Kim Wensel, Strategic Communications Consultant
Kim specializes in data communication, branding, and qualitative research methods. In her tenure with Sharp Insight she has supported various evaluation projects, played a key role in developing and carrying out training initiatives, and driven marketing communications efforts.
Kim excels at synthesizing and translating technical information for stakeholder groups. With a constant focus on audience, Kim helps our team and our clients focus on presenting big ideas in a compelling and clear manner. She takes pride in doing more with less, maximizing every dollar and human resource that nonprofit organizations possess.
Since 2007, Kim has worked with universities and nonprofit organizations in the areas of evaluation, behavior change communications, and marketing. She holds a Master of Public Health and Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Virginia Tech.
Outside "the office"
Kim can be found knee-deep co-parenting her infant and preschooler with her husband, Brent. She also works for Tahirih Justice Center as the National Grants Manager. Kim enjoys blogging about nonprofit communications and frequently engages in professional development on branding and creative entrepreneurship. When time allows, she can be found reading interior design blogs and personal development books.
